Actress Daisy Shah, who made her mark with films like ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Race 3’, recently revealed her personal life and future plans in a candid conversation with ‘Film Gyan’. The actress told that she has got her eggs frozen to keep her future options safe.During the conversation, Daisy was asked to choose between “love” and “money”. Daisy, 41, replied that ideally, she would like both.
“Love with money,” she said, explaining that emotional connection and financial stability are equally important in a relationship. She further said that she would like a partner who is financially independent and secure in his own right.
‘Marriage is scary these days’
Talking about marriage, Daisy admitted that current events and disturbing news about relationships have affected her thinking.
“Every day something or the other is happening – couples breaking up or those shocking ‘Blue Drum’ cases. It’s very scary,” he told Filmygyan.
When asked whether such incidents have made him think again about marriage, the actor clearly replied that he has not thought much about it. When asked if she planned to eventually get married, Daisy said she left the decision “up to God.”
‘You don’t need marriage to start a family’
Regarding becoming a mother, Daisy made it clear that she does not consider marriage as a necessary condition.“You don’t have to be married to start a family,” she said, adding that she has frozen her eggs and can choose to have children whenever she feels ready.
This is not the first time that the Race 3 actor has spoken about this decision. In an earlier interview with Hauterrfly, she explained that she values her independence and does not want to feel dependent on any man. Looking at relationships around her, she also said that many men find it difficult to handle “strong, confident women.”
Although Daisy clarified that she is not planning to become a mother immediately, she said that like Priyanka Chopra, the decision to freeze her eggs was a conscious one on the advice of a friend.
On the work front, Daisy Shah was last seen in the web series Red Room. She will next be seen opposite Shreyas Talpade in the film directed by Palash Muchhal.
