Mumbai Police has adopted a strict stance after Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and famous film director Rohit Shetty received death threats. In this case, the police have registered an FIR against Harry Boxer, accused of extortion and threats. Investigation has confirmed that the threatening ‘voice note’ sent to Ranveer Singh’s manager is from Harry Boxer. After this, Mumbai Cyber Police registered an FIR against the accused based on the complaint of Ranveer Singh’s manager. This case is now being investigated jointly by the Crime Branch and Anti-Extortion Cell.

According to police sources, Ranveer Singh’s manager received threatening calls from an international number (+340) linked to the Virgin Islands. The caller, posing as Harry Boxer, demanded a ransom of Rs 20 crore and threatened to face dire consequences. Later, the accused sent a long voice note saying that if his demands were not met, “the next seven generations will remember the consequences.”
The voice note directly threatened Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty, and warned the entire Bollywood industry. The accused have also claimed responsibility for the shooting at Marina Grand and Sukhdev’s shop in Portugal.
Following the threats, security at Ranveer Singh’s house has been increased, and he has been advised to be more careful while going for shoots. Police are investigating the case from every angle.

It is noteworthy that this is the second FIR registered against the members of Bishnoi gang. Earlier, on February 1, 2026, shooting took place outside the house of filmmaker Rohit Shetty in Juhu area of Mumbai. The Investigation Agency (AEC) has so far arrested 12 suspects including shooter Deepak Sharma. Investigation revealed that Deepak Sharma had allegedly shot at Rohit Shetty’s house at the behest of Shubham Lonkar Group.
