Actor Amitabh Bachchan has wished his grandson Agastya Nanda all the best for his second film “Ikkis”. Actor Amitabh Bachchan has penned an emotional note after seeing his grandson Agastya Nanda in the trailer of his upcoming film “Ikkis”. On his blog, Amitabh recalled how Agastya used to play with his beard in his childhood and that he would now “act in theaters across the world.” Amitabh also expressed hope that Agastya would bring “greatest pride to the family”. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this war-based film is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Arun Khetrapal. The official trailer of the film was released by production banner Maddock Films on Wednesday.
Amitabh Bachchan shared the trailer on his official Agastya is the son of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and industrialist Nikhil Nanda.

She made her acting debut in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film “The Archies”. In “Ikkis”, 24-year-old Agastya will be seen in the role of Khetarpal, who was martyred at the age of 21 during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery and sacrifice. He became the youngest military personnel to receive this highest military honour.

Agastya’s maternal uncle and actor Abhishek Bachchan also expressed support for the film by sharing the film’s trailer on his official social media accounts. “Ikkis” also stars veteran actor Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sikandar Kher and another newcomer Simar Bhatia (Akshay Kumar’s niece) in lead roles. This film will be released in theaters in December.

It shows a determined Arun, played by Agastya, vowing to win the prestigious Param Vir Chakra for his regiment. As the trailer progresses, Arun studies hard in the academy and eventually joins the army for the Indo-Pak war.
The trailer also shows a sweet love story set against the backdrop of war. Simar Bhatia will play his love interest in the film. Ikkis will see Dharmendra playing the role of Arun Khetrapal’s father and Jaideep Ahlawat playing the role of an army officer. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Twenty One will release in theaters in December this year.
