Mumbai. A case of cyber fraud has come to light with actor Gajendra Singh Chauhan, who played the role of Yudhishthir in the TV show ‘Mahabharat’. The thugs withdrew Rs 98 thousand from the actor’s bank account, but fortunately, due to the promptness of Oshiwara Police of Mumbai, the cheated amount was recovered. Actually, actor Gajendra Singh Chauhan saw an advertisement on Facebook on December 10 that dry fruits were available at very cheap prices at D-Mart.

Gajendra Singh Chauhan clicked on the link of the advertisement to buy dry fruits and also shared the OTP of his bank account for verification. Immediately after sharing the OTP, a message of deduction of Rs 98 thousand came on his phone. Gajendra Chauhan immediately lodged a complaint of cyber fraud at Oshiwara Police Station.

After the complaint, the amount was recovered due to the promptness and efficient action of the Cyber ​​Cell of Oshiwara Police Station. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan and Police Inspector Anand Pagare solved the case with the help of Cyber ​​Cell officer Police Sub Inspector Sharad Devre, ASI Ashok Konde and Police Constable Vikram Sarnob.

Cyber ​​cell returned the money to Gajendra Chauhan’s account

Cyber ​​cell officials found that the defrauded amount was being transferred from Rajorpe to Croma. The SAIL officials put the amount on hold and transferred it back to Gajendra Chauhan’s account. After the incident, actor Gajendra Singh Chauhan has appealed to the people not to fall prey to cheap and huge discounts, because such advertisements are fake. He said that if they have become a victim of cyber fraud then contact their local police without any delay. In case of any suspicious activity, call 1930 immediately.
