New Delhi. Well-known TV actress Nupur Alankar is today living a life which even her fans cannot imagine. Nupur, who has worked in serials like ‘Shaktimaan’ and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, has retired from the world. Now she lives in caves with only 5 clothes and earns her living by begging.
Nupur Alankar recently shared the painful story of her life in an interview given to ‘Telly Talk India’. Now she lives in the caves of the Himalayas as ‘Pitamber Maa’. She begs, suffers from rat bites and cold sores, but says – ‘This is peace, there is no burden of bills and lifestyle’.
Nupur said, ‘Whatever happened in my life will be found on Google. He told that everything started with the PMC Bank scam, when the harsh realities of life shook me. After this scam, my mother fell ill and faced financial problems regarding her treatment. The death of my mother and my sister was the final blow.
Regarding life after retirement, Nupur says, ‘After moving away from the material world, life really became easier. Earlier one had to take care of bills, lifestyle expenses and diet. Nupur Alankar had revealed the PMC Bank scam in an interview given to Times of India in 2019. He had told, ‘There was no money in the house and all our accounts were frozen. I had no choice but to sell my jewellery. I had to borrow Rs 3,000 from a fellow actor. Another actor transferred Rs 500 for my commute. I borrowed a total of Rs 50,000 from friends. These tragedies cut off Nupur from the world. She was already living a disciplined and spiritual life, but took full retirement in 2022. Husband gave permission, family also agreed. A deep relationship has been formed with God. Nupur is content with the path she has chosen, but she encourages others to live a simple life and build a deeper relationship with God.
