Veteran actress Neena Gupta immersed her fans in old memories by sharing a clip of her popular 1993 TV serial ‘Dard’ on social media. He told that this was his first serial which he not only produced but also acted in it. Neena played the lead role of ‘Radha’ in this classic show aired on Doordarshan, which depicted mental challenges and the complexities of human relationships. His friends and fans from the film industry showered a lot of love on this post. This reminds that Neena Gupta’s journey started from TV and has today reached the pinnacle of OTT.

New Delhi: Bollywood’s most outspoken and bold actress Neena Gupta does not need any introduction today, but on Saturday, March 7, she took her fans to a memory lane from where her journey had started. Neena has shared an old clip of her superhit TV serial ‘Dard’ on Instagram, which refreshed the memories of children and adults of the 90s. The famous title track of the serial and some emotional scenes are seen in this video. Neena told with great pride that this was the first serial in 1993 which she not only made but also acted with all her heart in it.
As soon as Neena shared this 33 year old memory, there was a flood of comments on social media. His old friends and fellow actors from the film industry showered a lot of love on it. While reminiscing her memories, actress Shilpa Tulaskar wrote that it was indeed a very lovely show and watching Kalpana Iyer ji in it was no less than a treat. ‘Dard’ was considered a classic show of Doordarshan at that time, in which the complexities of human relationships were presented very beautifully. Even in today’s OTT era, people miss that simplicity and style of storytelling.
