New Delhi. Deepika Kakkar was battling liver cancer last year. The actress’s husband Shoaib Ibrahim had shared her health updates with fans through blogs. Deepika’s health had improved after surgery and long-term cancer treatment, but now she has once again become a victim of a serious illness. The actress’s husband Shoaib Ibrahim told in his latest blog that now a cyst has formed in Deepika’s stomach for which she will soon be admitted to the hospital for its operation.

In the latest blog shared on YouTube, Shoaib Ibrahim told that both of them had come to attend a birthday party on Friday. Deepika’s health deteriorated shortly after the party. Talking about this, Shoaib Ibrahim said that the entire day of Saturday was spent in visiting the hospital. He said that till a day ago everything was normal, but for the last two days, Deepika Kakkar was feeling mild pain in the stomach, which suddenly intensified on Friday night.

Cyst in Deepika’s stomach

After going to the doctor, she got a CT scan done, which revealed that a new 13 mm cyst had formed in her stomach. Deepika told that along with the stomach ache, she was also having trouble in her left shoulder for the last two days, which had increased her anxiety further. However, doctors clarified that the shoulder pain is not directly related to this cyst.

Deepika further says, ‘Life is like this. Those who are fighting like me, it is important for them to stand firm and become strong in such difficult times. Yes, I feel scared. This morning I was also scared, but I am happy that I found out in time. Last time I was advised that regular follow-ups were very important. If there is even a slight pain, do not ignore it.

Shoaib Ibrahim further told that after the surgery, there can be a big change in the direction of Deepika Kakkar’s treatment. According to the doctors’ plan, her ongoing oral chemotherapy can be stopped and immunotherapy is being considered in its place. Deepika has been facing stage-2 liver cancer for the last few months.

In June 2025, she had undergone tumor removal surgery as a ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ fame actress. Since then, she has been openly sharing her health journey through her YouTube channel, which includes chemotherapy experiences, emotional experiences and gradual recovery.
