Randhir Singh, loco pilot of the country’s first Vande Bharat train, participated in KBC 17 and, showing his intelligence, won a huge amount of Rs 25 lakh. His show has changed the fortunes of many people. Recently, Randhir Singh, resident of Bathinda, Punjab, won Rs 25 lakh in the show. He also took his wife along with him to KBC 17. After sitting on the hot seat, the couple answered the questions with their intelligence and completed the journey worth Rs 25 lakh.
Randhir Singh and his wife were seen in 95 episodes of KBC. In a special conversation with IANS, Randhir Singh talked about the show and his personal life. Randhir Singh told that he works as a train driver in the Railway Department and he was the first person who drove the Vande Bharat train.
Randhir Singh was the pilot of the first Vande Bharat train.
He told that ‘I was also a witness to the historic moment when the Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by PM Modi. I was the loco pilot of Vande Bharat train at that time. I have been watching episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati since the year 2000 and was preparing for many years to participate in the show. Now I got a chance to be a part of the show.
25 year old question answered
Randhir Singh is also fond of writing and singing. While talking about the question of 25 lakhs in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, he said that the question was who was the physical coach of Michael Schumacher of number-1 Formula Racing. At that time we did not know what the answer to the question was, but later we took the name of Balveer Singh of Punjab. This decision was taken by both of us, husband and wife, and our answer turned out to be correct.
Game quit on question of Rs 50 lakh
He further said that the question of Rs 50 lakh was even more difficult, so we decided to end the game there. Regarding shows like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, Randhir Singh said that it is very important to have such shows for the development of intelligence. They inspire the youth to move forward and people of every age can try their luck.
