Arjun Bijlani’s father-in-law Rakesh Swami died at the age of 73. He had suddenly suffered a stroke. Arjun and his wife Neha Swamy were on New Year vacation in Dubai, but returned after hearing the news of his demise. Arjun shared a special bond with his father-in-law, because his father passed away long ago. Arjun performed the last rites of his father-in-law along with Neha’s brother Nishank. A video of this has also surfaced.

Mumbai. The new year started in a very sad atmosphere for TV actor and host Arjun Bijlani and his family. His father-in-law Rakesh Chandra Swami passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, leaving the entire family in shock and deep sorrow. Rakesh Chandra Swamy was admitted to ICU after suffering a stroke and remained on ventilator for three days. He died on 1 January. He was 73 years old. When he suffered a stroke, Arjun and Neha were on New Year vacation in Dubai. According to the report, Rakesh Chandra was about to have dinner and before that he suddenly suffered a stroke.
According to Hindustan Times report, while giving information about the incident, a family member said, “He was absolutely healthy, he was about to have dinner when suddenly he suffered a stroke and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he remained on ventilator. The entire family is in shock, because Neha and Arjun had gone to Dubai only to meet the family. All this happened very suddenly and we all are still trying to recover from this situation.”
